Construction begins

Today, with the purchase of all the wood needed for the trackbed, saw the start of construction on the line itself. So far all the trackbed is complete and in place with the first 4 yards of running line laid.

The Passenger Train grows

After another new arrival, the passenger train has now grown to its inital 3 coach lenght consisting of 2 IoM Pairs coaches and the L&B bogie brake van. Ideally, I'd like the train to reach a 4 coach lenght of 3 Pairs coaches and the Brake Van or when funds allow, replacing the Brake Van with a DJB Engineering IoM Empress Van.

Left to right:- L&B No.23, IoM F.70 and IoM F.54

With more track now on order, it won't be long before the lenght of the run will be able to extend to its full 10 yards lenght giving a fairly long run for trains to run on.

Cheers,

Jon

A new Bogie van arrives

Today, a secondhand L&B bogie brake van arrived to run on the line which will hopefully the 2nd coach of the passenger train/brakevan for the L&B train. As with all the rolling stock on the line, its made by Accucraft UK. Its in light grey and arrived aready set to 32mm. It is hoped that the 3rd and final coach to complete the set will be delivered either in the coming weeks or sometime next month.

It Begins!

With the arrival a few days ago, today was the first trains to use the new line. With 4 yards out of the eventual 10 yard run now in my pocession, it seemed like a good time to test out the small track. Today also saw the introduction into service of the new Accucraft Pairs Coach. One of a eventual pair, this coach will form the main passenger train on the line.

The total run of 4 yards

Welcome!

Welcome to the line's website. The railway is currently at the planning stage although it is hoped construction will start soon. The line's stock is currently run at other people's railways while construction takes place. I've included some shots of the last running day the stock went to below.

Cheers,

Jon
